Vango was formed in 1963 when Andrew Mitchell bought a Scottish tent making firm McIlwraith of Govan. By 1967, the company had become Vango and launched their Force Ten tents that were extremely successful, possibly due to their bright orange colour! Over the next 20 years, Vango continued to make quality tents and began to branch out into other products such as rucksacks and sleeping bags.

Today, Vango are the most famous UK tent brand and continue to offer superb value tents, sleeping bags and rucksacks. All of their fabrics and components are laboratory tested and they are one of the few brands currently testing the performance of their sleeping bags at the Institute - Textile de France.
