Gore Windstopper is a wind-proof fabric combining durable wind protection and high breathability. It's designed to keep you warm and comfortable with fewer layers and less bulk.
When the wind blows through your clothes, it disrupts the thin layer of air next to your skin that keeps you warm. Gore Windstopper prevents this by happening by having a unique membrane with pores that are too small for the wind to pass through. However, the pores are large enough to allow moisture to escape, meaning that the fabric is also highly breathable too. By using a membrane underneath a top layer of hard-wearing fabric rather than a wind-proof coating on top of a layer of fabric, Gore Windstopper is more durable, breathable and windproof than other fabrics.
