Products made with Gore-Tex 2 layer XCR

XCR stands for "Extended Comfort Range" and this fabric is designed to produce the ultimate performance garments. By using new membrane technology along with better lamination techniques, Gore-Tex 2-layer XCR has 25% less resistance to moisture transmission than standard Gore-Tex.

The improved breathability makes this fabric ideal for extreme conditions and some manufacturers are even starting to use it for footwear!

The fabric is made in the same way as standard Gore-Tex, from three layers. An outer layer makes the fabric wind and waterproof, the inner layer is added for comfort, warmth and to protect the middle layer. Between the inner and outer layers is an improved membrane that only allows moisture to pass away from you and is now more effective than the standard Gore-Tex membrane.
