For the products we sell, Microban is used to coat the soles of sandals in order to reduce odour and infections caused by bacteria and fungus. It helps stop your feet smelling!!
Microban technology is built-in to products during manufacturing and acts by penetrating the cell wall of the microbe and disrupting key cell functions. This prevents the microbes functioning, growing or reproducing. The odours coming from shoes and sandals are often generated by bacteria such as staphylococcus aureus. By helping to reduce the amount of bacteria on the sandals, Microban helps to reduce odour. And as the Microban coating won't wash off or wear away, this effect lasts as long as the sandal!
