Polartec Powershield is a single layer fabric that provides breathability, durability and stretch. All Polartec Powershield fabrics are coated with a DWR (durable water repellent) that resists rain or snow. It's an extremely durable fabric that is warm and softer than many other similar fabrics. It's also fully machine washable!

Polartec Powershield is designed to replace traditional fleece and shell fabric for outdoor garments. It reduces the weight and number of layers you need to insulate and protect you from the elements. This makes garments that are ideal for skiing, snowboarding and other winter sports jackets, trousers, hats,and gloves all benefit from Polartec Powershield.

Polartec Powershield is made from a tightly woven nylon face that is very smooth. This makes a fabric with an abrasion resistance equal or superior to the best shells in the market, but with less stiffness and noise when moved. A polyester velour back is added that traps air and keeps warmth within a garment.
