This coat is fantastic! I wanted a coat to keep me warm in the winter and I wanted it to keep me warm whilst only wearing a T-shirt or a shirt underneath. I don't like wearing Lot's of layers of clothing to keep warm because I feel restricted in movement and you have to keep taking some layers off when you get inside because you get hot. But this coat kept me very warm with just a long sleeved T-shirt on when it was -3c outside with a cold breeze. It's like having a sleeping bag wrapped around you, a very good thick sleeping bag! The only thing I would have changed is the length of the coat, just by 2-3 inches. It's not like the coat is too short it's just I feel I would prefer a little bit more.

I've just received my North Face Nuptse jacket! Excellent service from Outdoorkit.co.uk, it only took 2 days from ordering to wearing it!! I'm 6ft 1" and 17 stone, train in gym regular so i ordered XXL which fits perfectly! (XL would be too short in sleeves!) I live in Essex UK and the weather today was bitter cold with strong winds, I walked the dog with just a T-shirt underneath it and i was as Warm as Toast!!! The wind does NOT penetrate the coat at all! Its also so light that you dont even know that youre wearing it!! This is the best coat i have ever owned, every one should have one!!! I was amazed when I got this jacket - it is so light. You would not believe that a jacket that weighed so little could keep you completely warm, but it does, and brilliantly. It also really does fold up small. It's great - get it, you can't go wrong.

I'm now on my second Nupste jacket, the first once lasted a good 5 years. The jacket is with me every day, on the London Underground it folds down to nothing to roll into your bag or rucksack, outside it has kept me warm in all conditions. Even with just a single cotton shirt on I've never felt the cold even at freezing temperatures. In the summer it is also reassuringly cool for the day, but warm at night for those long journeys home on the night bus!
