This product is a non-detergent soap which can be used regularly to clean clothing and equipment without damaging the Durable Water Repellent (DWR) coatings. Use this product instead of detergents or washing powder

- Clean items with Nikwax Tech Wash before proofing them with the appropriate Nikwax proofer. You should be able to wash reproofed gear 6 to 8 times with Nikwax Tech Wash before it requires reproofing with the appropriate Nikwax proofer

Basically the only worthwhile product for washing technical outdoor kit, I.e. any waterproofs or rucksacks. Detergents will obliterate any waterproof properties of the fabric, so don't use them. Paired with the right proofer to regenerate the waterproof properties (Nikwax TX washin or spray, depending) it's great.
Just what I need! Allows me to wash my gloves and rucksack without having to worry about wearing out the water resistant coating.
