When tensioned, the bands brace the pole at 3 points, and prevent sideways movement. Adjust TBSII to remove slack. Do not over tension, as this may deform the poles. Beta 350 is fantastic. Easy to put up single handed,wonderful space, and best of all the vents can let air movement through the whole tent without leting insects in. what a great tent
Vango products are the best for any outdoor activity. As a scout I have found it long lasting, good waterproofness and comfortable.
A very good, rugged tent ideally suited for its purpose but not very good for intrepid adventures "up mount everest"
but all in all a very good value for money tent
