Terra pants are lightweight, hard-wearing, weather resistant and highly breathable trousers, suitable for a wide range of outdoor sports. The TACTEL nylon outer provides a cotton-like feel, which doesn't rustle or crackle, combined with the durability and fast drying qualities of nylon. The tight weave of TACTEL together with a TEFLON surface finish helps water to bead up and run off the fabric face. Terra's low weight, small pack size, fast drying properties and extremely durable reinforcements make them the ideal choice for any serious adventure traveller or mountaineer.

Customer reviews

So far not used these in earnest but seem comfortable. If like me you wear these type of trousers as regular day to day wear as well as on the hills, you might miss the presence of a rear pocket to spread the load from the two front pockets. A couple of other minor niggles, the shiny surface of the fabric is reminiscent of the material used for some track suit bottoms but my wife assures me they don't look as such. Another minor niggle is that the two pronged right hand part of the belt buckle easily slips back through the first belt waist loop when taking the trousers off and is fiddle to re-thread. The buckle itself is not as substantial and easy to fit together as others eg on my old Rohan Uplanders or Mountain Hard Wear pants. All in all I would have given five stars if these pants had been £10 cheaper. As it I can only give 4.

These trousers are the best technical outdoor pants I have ever used. They are lightweight and as at home in January on scafell as they were trekking in 40 degree heat.

The waterproofing is surprisingly effective though lets in slightly around the pockets. Despite this, they still deserve a 5. Highly recommended.

Bought the trousers about 18 month ago and never looked back, fell walking in the lake district both summer and winter.
