The Microlight Alpine Jacket is a light-weight, weather-resistant down jacket, designed for use in situations where warmth, weight and packability are prime concerns. A mini stitch-through baffle construction and a minimal, uncluttered design make the Microlight Alpine Jacket a perfect layering piece for alpine climbers, or an adaptable stand-alone jacket for day-to-day use. 143g (large) of 750FP Hydrophobic Goose Down provides exceptional levels of warmth without compromising on weight. A Pertex Microlight outer fabric helps to keep the warmth in and is both breathable and windproof. Key technical features include a down-filled hood and YKK zipped pockets throughout.

Customer reviews

Jacket is still to arrive, however I have tried one on and they are a great fit and feel incredibly warm. It was either this or the neutrino but decided on the alpine microlight as will fit under the myriad shell with ease. Obviously no chance of that with the neutrino. Ryan was very helpful with Grade a service.

At first I was somewhat dubious as the parcel arrived through the door....too small and far too light. Sure enough inside was the Rab Microlight Alpine Jacket. However, after the initial scepticism (and a week in the Cairngorms down to -4) I can honestly say it’s a great jacket. Just with a T shirt on underneath it’s been excellent & kept me nice & warm. Best of all at around 400g you won’t even notice you’re carrying it in your rucksack. As always, a big thumbs up to OutdoorKit.

Excellent versatile jacket, stows down to nothing. Ideal for those who require gear that's light and packs down to minimal size but not compromising the quality.
