Customer reviews

Bought mine back in '98, to trek a-p range in western Nepal. Countless steps since, many continents later, these boots are the lightest, most supportive & enduring footwear I've ever owned. Highly recommended.

Now buying my fourth pair of these excellent boots. My wife and I are serious hillwalkers with close on 200 Munros 'bagged', over 100 'Tops' and 50+ 'Corbetts' (several of each on their umpteenth visitation) to our name. All that despite the vagries of the Scottish weather. We also Have England Wales' highest mountains to our name. All that on Brasher Hillmasters.

I admit I did try other boots on one occasion - they lie in the loft awaiting an honourable discharge, all but unused. When I returned to Brashers it was like a reunion with an old and trusted friend. These boots seem to shrug off anything - rocks, streams, mud and anything the weather can throw at them. I cannot claim the longevity others seem to enjoy but, at around 15 hours per week on average over any given year, I can attest to their durability. It will be Brashers for me until I 'hang up my boots'.

Just ordered my 3rd pair of Brasher boots. They have served me well for 16 years so far averaging 8 years a pair. Wore the soles off the first pair, the leather cracked on the second pair but plenty of wear in the sole so they will be used for gardening. They have always been comfortable 'straight from the box' and have proved to be hard wearing. Wouldn't buy any other boot except another from the Brasher range. I would recommend them to anyone but take care to get the right size if you have broad feet. 100% reliable, comfortable and excellent value for money.

I've just ordered my new pair of Brasher GTX boots. Did I consider any others? No, and the reason is my original pair bought in Ambleside, Cumbria back in '88 just clocked up 20 years of fellwalking, and coastal path walking, and I never had any blisters or wet feet in all of that time. Sadly the soles have finally lost all their grip, and the leather is starting to crack. Thing is , I didn't really look after them! Still 20 years for about £100 is a pretty good deal in my book.

If you hare looking for a serious pair of boots these are the ones for you.I walked to Everest base camp , and back !, in mine with no blisters, chafing or leaks whatsoever. All the other members of our party in, sometimes more expensive, lighter material type boots suffered. After over 200 miles mine are as good as new with little sign of wear. Light and warm, they are a pleasure to wear and own.

On my second pair. First pair lasted 10 years. Most comfortable and lightest boot I have ever owned. First time on walked 10 miles and they felt perfect just like the last pair. As Chris Brasher said "Travel light, travel fast".

See my review on Berghaus Corice Jackets. You will note i spends months at a time in open , harsh conditions . These boots are my choice for comfort , wear and tear and most important. Dry ward comfortable trouble free walking and climging. There light , strong and fit like a glove , straight from the box.Trust me , i have tested them to the limit. One thing i would do to improve them would be to make them One inch higher. This is to ensure my Combat trousers can be folded over using trouser blousers.
