Bought my first Berghaus 14 years ago, when pushing a pram and holding an umbrella was multi-tasking one step too far. Still wear it everyday for warm and cosy dog walks in whatever the Lake District climate throws at me. Sadly it's not smart enough for socialising in now, unless it's with the four legged variety of friends - so ready to get another soon.
I bought my first berghaus in 1980 it was before you could get the inner fleece and the outer shell, it was down filled and even though it is now a little flat as it has been washed many times, it is still as red as the day it was bought for £80. It has served me well for the last 27 years whilst watching my son play footbll in all weathers, amongst other things. I am sure it would last a little longer but unfortunately I have expanded around the middle area and need to buy a bigger size now!!!
This is exactly the jacket I'd hoped it would be, sensibly long and unbelievably warm. It will allow me to spend many happy hours standing on the touchline or sitting at Twickenham, enjoying the rugby while staying toasty warm. The quality is as you would expect from Berghaus but the price was a pleasant surprise. I look forward staying warm while exploring Scotland and the Lake District next winter, now I just need some gloves!
