Salomon started in 1947 as a ski workshop and, after decades of making top quality skis, branched out into clothing, bags and gear in 1976. In the last 50 years, Salomon has developed it's Pro/Process/Product technique of product development: share experiences with professional athletes and sportsmen and then start the design process in the field before moving to the laboratory.
