- Warmer side - The warmer side can be used when the conditions are colder or the user needs more warmth. The wind resistance outer shell stops wind from penetrating the jacket and keeps the heat in. The higher air permeability of the lining rapidly allows perspiration to escape
- Cooler side - The cooler side can be used when conditions are good or the user is working hard. It places the highly air permeable fabric on the outside, this fabric allows more wind to penetrate it's structure and circulate through the insulation, which reduces the heat that is trapped inside and therefore keeping the body cooler
